Estate Giving

Leave a legacy of quality music education and programming.

People who want to leave a legacy or leverage assets to make a substantial gift that they couldn’t otherwise often make planned gifts. A planned gift can be as simple as inserting language into a will. There are also planned giving tools designed to help you and your loved ones avoid capital gains and estate taxes, while making generous gifts to your favorite charities.

If you would like to include Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra in your will, you can use the following language:

“I give to Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra, a nonprofit corporation duly organized and existing under the laws of the State of Washington and located in Seattle, Washington, or legal successor there to [insert here some amount of money, percent portion of the estate, description of property, or “the sum of money, rest residue and remainder of my estate.”], to be used for its general tax-exempt purposes and without other restrictions as to use.”

For information about specific endowments or restrictions, please contact Julia Eagan at julia.eagan@syso.org.

You should always consult with your attorney before modifying your will.

For more information about planned giving, contact Director of Development Julia Eagan at 425.818.4765 or julia.eagan@syso.org.

Founded in 1942, Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra is the largest youth orchestra training program in the United States.
