Kamil Tarnawczyk (any pronouns) is a Polish American multi-instrumentalist pursuing a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Washington. Kamil currently studies oboe under Mary Lynch VanderKolk, and has studied both flute and viola with the UW faculty. Kamil has performed extensively with the various ensembles at UW and has recently begun freelancing in the Seattle area as an oboist and English horn player and playing in community groups. Kamil is also a composer and avid arranger of music, starting self publishing his works in 2022. He started working with SYSO as the music librarian after discovering a knack for orchestral library work through his ongoing employment as an intern for the library department of the Seattle Symphony. In his free time, Kamil enjoys learning about and how to play new instruments, taking care of his pet rodents and reptiles, playing video games, and learning about social issues.
