Financial Aid

SYSO provides life-changing musical experiences for talented students in the Pacific Northwest, regardless of their financial resources.

We understand that, even though SYSO works to keeps our fees as low as possible, full tuition for our academic year will be more than some families can afford. We also believe that the benefits young musicians gain from participating in our programs should not be limited by their family’s financial situation. For that reason, SYSO provides financial aid and work study opportunities to families that can demonstrate need.

To be considered for a Financial Aid Award, you must submit all of the following to the SYSO office:

  • Completed Financial Aid Form
  • Documentation of household income – this could be the first page of your IRS Tax Form 1040 (with sensitive information such as Social Security Numbers redacted), a pay stub, job offer letter, salary schedule, or some other documentation to verify income amounts
  • Statement of Financial Need

Please submit these items by email to janice@syso.org or by mail to the SYSO office at:

11065 5th Ave NE
Suite A
Seattle, WA 98125

The deadline to submit your financial aid application for Term 1 of the Virtual Orchestra Program is September 28th.
