A musician’s experience at Marrowstone will include a daily 9-5 schedule full of rehearsals, chamber music, and the opportunity to study with our world-class faculty in daily masterclasses and coachings. Students will share both large-scale orchestral works and smaller chamber performances with communities both in and outside of Seattle in the Festival’s culminating concerts.
Marrowstone students will have the chance to premiere a debut work by renowned Serbian composer Aleksandra Vrebalov, currently based in New York. Additionally, the 2022 Festival will once again bring renowned soloists to perform with Festival participants. Marrowstone 2022 is a unique opportunity for student musicians to explore symphonic music in great depth, and to be an integral part in the process of artistic creation.
This year’s Festival will be non-residential. Out-of-area musicians interested in attending are responsible for providing their own lodging during the two weeks.
Marrowstone 2022 will host multiple performances for both full orchestra and chamber ensembles.
