The Academic Year Orchestra Program serves over 500 students through 5 orchestras, rehearsing every Saturday and culminating in 3 public concerts.
A series of fun and challenging classes that include music theory, sight-singing and ear training, music history, and music electives.
SYSO supports public school instrumental music programs by providing instruction in 25 Seattle-area public schools serving over 600 students annually.
SYSO summer opportunities include the prestigious Marrowstone Summer Music Festival for advanced student musicians, and our week-long program for beginning to intermediate students, SYSO Summer Music.
Founded in 1942, Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra is the largest youth orchestra training program in the United States.
