IN PARTNERSHIP WITH

SYSO holds an annual Concerto Competition each year for students that are placed in an Academic Year Orchestra. This year, there are two division of the competition and a special partnership with Emerald City Music.

TWO DIVISIONS

Intermediate
Symphonette Orchestra and Debut Symphony Orchestra students are eligible

Advanced
Junior Symphony Orchestra and Youth Symphony Orchestra students are eligible

CONCERTO COMPETITION

Congratulations to our 13 finalists selected from a pool of more than 60 applicants. The quality of applicants this year was outstanding and SYSO congratulates each and every one of you for entering.

The Prize

Learning & Performing Opportunities

This year we are excited to partner with Emerald City Music to enrich the competition process by providing all finalist with a coaching and Masterclasses by a musician from Emerald City Music.

Competition winners will be invited to perform live in-person at a SYSO concert either in late 2021 or in the 2021-2022 season, whenever we are able to safely resume in person concerts.

Advanced Division finalists are invited to perform at Emerald City Music’s Beethoven Festival
